This is an outtake from a shoot a few weeks ago. We were shooting food paired with Rose’ wines. I love a good Rose’ to drink and when they are on set they are beautiful. The color! Shot in November, natural low light in Sonoma County, California. Cheers!

I commute 500 miles each way from Southern California to Northern California quite often. I am always amazed at how much open, diverse, beautiful land located between Los Angeles and San Francisco. This is the view from the air. Photo Nerd info: taken with my camera that rings. Shot @ f / whatever iPhone decides, at whatever shutter speed it decides, by the lens that I guess I should know what it is.
I was shooting into the sun from a ladder over vineyards in Carneros but turned to see behind me and snapped this shot. The winery requested shots of 4 vineyards that were located in Carneros and Calistoga. I love this early morning light in November. Photo nerd info: Nikon D800, 35mm lens at f4.5, 1/200th, ISO 50. Wearing Vans without socks, not the best for cold early morning shoots in vineyards.
Orleans Hill Organic Wines. Playing with light and loose product positioning. Thanks to Kristina, the art director, for letting me have fun with this set. Fits the brand perfectly! Photo nerd info: Camera used and some lights placed here and there… Organic, man!

Great line up of longboards at San Onofre beach hut. Shot was taken during the Big Wednesday VW Day. Perfect day, Volkswagens and surf.
The VW Treffen event this last weekend, September 8, 2013, at The Phoenix Club in Anaheim, CA is where this shot was taken. This show is one of my favorites. It is so, as my wife would say, civilized. Not jam-packed with cars but enough to walk around and enjoy each one for hours. The quality of some of these cars is amazing. Nothing newer than a 57 oval window is allowed in the show. Buses must be pressed bumper era and Ghias older than a 1960. There are coachbuilt cars and as you can see even a few Porsches in this show. The show is every two years at this German Club. They have a rifle (pellet gun) range, German dancers, beer and we had some Schnitzel and Brats.
