This is an outtake from a shoot a few weeks ago. We were shooting food paired with Rose’ wines. I love a good Rose’ to drink and when they are on set they are beautiful. The color! Shot in November, natural low light in Sonoma County, California. Cheers!

I commute 500 miles each way from Southern California to Northern California quite often. I am always amazed at how much open, diverse, beautiful land located between Los Angeles and San Francisco. This is the view from the air. Photo Nerd info: taken with my camera that rings. Shot @ f / whatever iPhone decides, at whatever shutter speed it decides, by the lens that I guess I should know what it is.
Great line up of longboards at San Onofre beach hut. Shot was taken during the Big Wednesday VW Day. Perfect day, Volkswagens and surf.
Shot traveling to photo shoot in Soledad, Ca. Lettuce fields in the Salinas Valley. Photo nerd info: Nikon D800, 50mm @ 1.4, at 500th.

This shot is from today’s Bob Baker Volkswagen Show in Carlsbad, California. This car is a 1961 but has parts from years as far back as an early 50′s split window grafted in. Owner said he has had the car since the 1970′s. Photo nerd info: Nikon D800, 80-200 Nikon Lens at 80mm, F3.2 @ 500 second, iso 50.
Shooting for Hahn Family Wines today. These avocados were “posing”, so I photographed them. Thanks to the client and crew today.
I was shooting advertising for a financial institution last week. This was one of our locations. We were setting up the shots. As I was testing the angle, this jogger is approaching. I wait for her to get right where I would like the placement and click. One shot. Photo nerd info: Nikon D3x, Nikon 50 mm 1.4, ISO 50, 1/4000 sec @ f1.4.
Record breaking heat for September 15, 2012 in Encinitas, California. Perfect beach weather, excellent day for small waves and long boards. Appropriately it was also the annual Wavecrest Woodie Car Show at Moonlight Beach. This is the largest car show for these classic cars in the USA. Nothing like one of these cars piled with classic surfboards. Nostalgic for someone like myself who grew up at the beach in So Cal. My wife and I enjoyed walking through the rows of cars and then off to the beach with the family. Photo Nerd info: Nikon D7000 with 50mm 1.4 lens, drinking a Dr Pepper.
